Marit Williams is a Minneapolis and destination fine art wedding and portrait photographer creating timeless, film-inspired imagery for refined celebrations around the world. Her brand design draws inspiration from New England charm and coastal elegance, blending soft, airy tones with a custom designed chinoiserie pattern and refined typography. The result is a visual identity that mirrors the serene, light-filled, and intimate experience of her photography, evoking the feeling of an elegant backyard tented wedding.

Brand Direction

Each branding project starts out with a strategy call with our client where we outline their goals for the rebrand, mission, values, big picture vision, challenges and pain points we need to overcome, ideal clients, positioning, and last but not least- visual direction and inspiration for the rebrand. A rebrand is rarely about just aesthetics and it’s always a goal to dive deep into the real issues the client is targeting so their design can solve a problem and grow with their ever-evolving business.

For Marit’s direction board, we crafted a sophisticated brand identity that maintains vibrant personality and color—designed to attract discerning clients who appreciate her distinctive style and approach. The elevated aesthetic speaks to a high-end, fashion forward audience while still highlighting the characteristics & differentiators that define her signature work.

For Marit’s website we started with a Tonic template and completely customized it from top to bottom to fit her new brand. From a comprehensive wedding experience page, to an extensive family portraits page, to six full-page individual wedding features so potential clients can scroll through an entire event experience- no detail went untouched. We completed the site with a customizable proposal page, ensuring every touchpoint feels cohesive, elevated, and beautifully branded. The result is a refined online presence that not only reflects the level of experience Marit delivers, but is also designed to grow and evolve alongside her business and vision.
