How did you get started in realty

Paige Gibson Homes started in 2019 after being an assistant for a top producing realtor for a year. After a year of working under her we both decided it was time for me to step out and start selling homes on my own and that’s when I transitioned to PGH. Shortly after I reached out to you to start my branding experience because I knew from the get-go creating something recognizable was needed and lacking in the industry.

Why it is important to invest in branding in a saturated market even when you’re working under a brokerage

It is so important to invest in high-quality branding, especially when you work in a saturated market. You want to set yourself apart as a go-to expert within your industry and allow yourself the freedom to evolve and room to grow; looking to the future and thinking about your long-term goals is really key here. That is why investing in branding early on can really help you start off on the right foot – sometimes waiting until later in the game to invest in branding, particularly in real estate, can be more challenging. Having complete ownership over your business and owning your personal brand helps you make moves easier.

When we worked together on PGH’s branding, Paige wanted a brand that was approachable, friendly, and that reflected her bubbly personality. When we started on the design phase for her business, we focused on pulling out the authentic pieces of who Paige is to really showcase to her clients what she is like and what they could expect when working with her. This has allowed Paige to establish a big like/know/trust factor with clients even before meeting them in person.

When you are in the brand strategy phase, being really honest with yourself and with your designer about who you are and where you want to go is so important to the overall success of your branding experience and in creating a true and authentic brand that will serve you and your clients well for years to come.

How PGH uses brand assets on the daily

Knowing how to use brand assets effectively and in a way that can help you truly enjoy your brand is such an important and rewarding part of having brand design done for your business and to help you maximize your investment.

Some of the ways that Paige makes sure she consistently utilizes her brand assets are:

  • Showing up on social media consistently (this is where her audience tends to hang out the most)

  • Interacting with clients and potential clients on social media

  • Using editable social media Canva templates

  • Meeting clients in person and creating a long term relationship with them

How to Get the Most Out of your Investment when working with a Brand Designer

When you work with a brand designer, be honest with yourself about who you are, who your clients are, where they hang out, and how you will need to show up in the spaces that they spend that most time in. This will help your brand designer know what you need in a brand and it will help you properly implement your new brand consistently without draining your time and energy.

Some ways that you can ensure you get the most out of your investment for years to come are:

  • Knowing where your clients spend the most time

  • Posting consistently to social media

  • Showing your face on social media (your ideal clients want to know YOU! You are the face of your brand!)

  • Social media Canva templates that reflect your branding

  • Calls to action

  • Print collateral

  • Merchandise

  • Website design

  • Knowing how to implement your brand on your own

  • Thinking about your big picture vision when implementing your branding

  • Know that branding is more than just a logo – utilizing all of your brand collateral effectively

  • Having the brand “grow up” intentionally over time with brand maintenance

As a business owner you always have to weigh your pros and cons of where you put your money but it’s something that I have seen come back tenfold. Whether it’s that brand recognition or the consistency of my brand- it brings me in better clients because they know who I am because they’ve already vetted me in a sense and know we’d be a good fit by the time they reach out. The investment is for sure a real thing but you see an ROI on it.

How to Establish Brand Recognition

  1. Creating shareable content is really important when establishing strong brand recognition. This, again, largely comes into play with social media. Knowing what your target audience shares on their social media, what they are interested in, and how you can create content that they are interested in and that represents your brand will help you create brand recognition within your industry. When creating brand recognition on social, keeping these points in mind will help you stay true to yourself and your brand:

  • It should feel true to you and feel natural

  • Know how to represent your business to its fullest

  • Knowing what your target audience is interested in/what kind of content they share

  • Sharing content that educates your audience and creates value

2. Having a strong client care experience is also a great way to establish brand recognition. Having touch points with your clients throughout your work together gives them a unique experience with you. Think of ways that you can add value to your target audience and how you can do that with potential, new, or past clients. A great way to do this is to invest in merchandise:

  • Print collateral / stationery

  • Stickers

  • Hats

  • Shirts/apparel

  • Tumblers

  • Signage

How to make sure your brand is evolving intentionally overtime

When you work with a brand designer, it is essential that you work together to create a strong foundation that can be built upon, evolve, and grow with you for years and years to come. Branding is so much more than just a logo! Thinking about the big picture and looking to the future is so key. Of course, no one knows what the future holds; but having a brand that is flexible and that can adapt to change will help make sure that your brand will evolve intentionally as you and your business grow.
