I am so excited to reveal a new custom brand, Showit website design, and print collateral suite for my incredible 1 on 1 branding client Alice Claire Photography. Alice is a talented family, maternity, and newborn film photographer serving clients in Birmingham and beyond. It was such an honor to work with her to craft a bespoke brand together from the ground up- elevating every touch point of her brand.
When Alice first came to me, she felt as though her website and brand were not a good reflection of her work. Alice’s photography style and process is incredibly artful and I just knew we could create a brand that reflected the why behind her work. It’s always my goal to learn about my client’s process and their ideal client before I make any design decisions so I know the brand will solve a problem for them and serve them well for years to come.

Goals
•Create a brand that emphasized the importance of Heirloom photography
•Increase inquiries/bookings with her ideal clients in both the Birmingham and 30A areas
•Create an elevated, yet approachable brand- inviting clients into a luxury experience
The Design Process
We tackled this project in 2 phases starting with the brand strategy and development last year and diving into the print collateral, guide design, custom website design, and SEO this year.
Aesthetically this project was an absolute dream come true. For the main font of the brand we chose a delicate serif and added some customizations to both of the “L”s. I love how the overall design of the brand is soft and subtle, allowing the photography to be the center of attention. For the secondary typeface, we used a script font. We used it sparingly throughout the brand but just touches of it here and there are nods to the meaning behind the brand as a whole.
Alice’s color palette is one of my all-time favorites. We chose to pull tones from her work which is light and airy and we used a beautiful rust color as the main hue across the brand collateral complimented by muted pinks, greys and blues.

patterns
For the brand patterns, we used the hand drawn leaf symbol and created a beautiful pattern in multiple color ways and when it came to designing the print collateral, incorporating it in an envelope liner was a must!
Print is such a powerful, yet often overlooked part of the branding process in the digital age we live in. For brands that have an heirloom quality to them, it’s a must-have. Your potential customers can get a glimpse into the level of experience you offer just from the quality of your print materials.
I absolutely love the print pieces we designed for this brand. From a rust square business card printed on cotton paper to the custom stationery suite- not a single detail was left untouched.

Guides
Our final step in the design process was creating three custom Welcome guides. Guides are such a powerful tool to help guide your clients through your process and truly set both parties up for success by walking them through what they can expect during your session together and how to prepare. Since one of our main goals was to help Alice’s clients have a seamless experience at every point of the process, we designed a custom guide for each type of session: Family Sessions, Newborn Sessions, and Maternity Sessions.
Here’s what alice had to say about working together…
I’m truly grateful for all the beautiful design work you did. You made the process so easy. I never thought it would be enjoyable to create a website, but you managed to make it fun. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent with me and helping me move my business forward.
wEBSITE & MOBILE DESIGN
