I adore Fall and everything that comes with it so when I came across
, I knew I had to use them to curate my perfect fall look. My favorite thing about a fall wardrobe is having a few pieces that mix and match with a lot of basics. I love a good blanket scarf, a well made hat, and over the knee boots as accessorizing staples to finish off any fall look. My other must have this season is a
– I throw it over just about everything.
As I said, this season I’m all about investing in well made accessories to complete a basics wardrobe. Awhile back, I realized that any of the items in my closet that were too unusual, I was wearing once and never coming back to so I have stuck with more of a basics wardrobe from here on out. With that being said, this look is going to be all about how to make your basics look, well…not so basic because we’re not about that.
So first thing is first. Grab a pair of distressed black denim. I have almost switched my entire closet over to black denim, they are just way more flattering on me because I have the thick thigh problem. I highly recommend this fix if you also have this insecurity or are just looking for a flattering color of denim.
Next, you’re going to need a pair of killer booties. I love these from Matisse. They have the perfect heel hight to be practical and they could be worn with a sun dress on the warmer days as well. When I’m looking for footwear, I always look for a shoe that I could wear for multiple seasons and something that’s going to hold up through all of the elements here in Minnesota. Typically black is a good color choice and then nude in the spring. Anything neutral is a total win when it comes to pairing it with most of your closet.
I’m currently searching for the perfect white tee-shirt to add to my wardrobe. In my opinion, a girl can never have too many white tees. This one looks like total perfection. A v-neck and slouchy but not too sloppy. I’m crushing on the anorak utility jacket below. It’s obviously a splurge and definitely not in my budget so here are a few others to check out. 1, 2,
Lastly, I would grab The Tiny Tote by Dagne Dover. This is such a great brand. High quality bags at reasonable prices. I’m a fan. Then of course I would throw on a scarf as I run out the door because…fall and scarves, duh. Now if only this outfit would appear in my wardrobe…that would be great.
