Our Design Philosophy

Earlier this year I worked with a strategist to refine the direction for qk with the plan of eventually refreshing my brand and messaging. As a brand designer, I know first hand the value that comes with hiring an outside source to nail down the strategy, values, and copy of the business before diving into the design phase. It has been so helpful to have an outside source that is invested in my success but doesn’t work IN the business take a deep dive into everything and pull out all of the ideas in my head, tie it up in a bow and help me see where I’m headed.

Today I’m sharing my design philosophy, my values, and diving a bit further into what you can expect when you sign on to work with me.

Our brand design process is a delicate and intentional balance of art, soul, strategy, and design. My process always starts with strategy so we can ensure we’re making design decisions that will help reach your unique business goals.

CREATIVE COLLABORATION

We believe in creative collaboration with our clients. We work with them to understand their passion and use all of our creativity to bring it to light. We take the time to truly understand, strategically position, and intentionally create and craft beautiful, bespoke brands. Though our Signature Artful Design experience, we can partner together and elevate your visual identity across all touch points allowing you to reach your full potential.

INTENTIONAL CREATIVITY

Anyone can design a pretty brand, but a good-looking brand alone won’t get you results.

We believe in the magic of creativity and understand that it takes courage and time. We are passionately dedicated to the craft of creative design.

Branding goes well beyond your visual identity. This is why you’ll hear us brand designers screaming from the rooftops YOUR BRAND IS NOT YOUR LOGO. It’s how your visuals, voice, and marketing strategy work together. It is about purpose and how you can increase your profit. I still hear from business owners looking to skip over the strategy process or thinking that one logo mark will get them the results they’re looking for- but there just aren’t shortcuts in building a strategic brand that books.

STRATEGY FIRST

To be intentionally creative we need to infuse strategy into every step of our design process. We take a results-driven approach to design with equal parts aesthetics and strategy.

Design is problem-solving and in order for your designer to make strategic design decisions that will solve your pain points. You have to start with strategy in order to uncover the problems.

I believe in designing with equal parts aesthetics and strategy in order to solve your biggest pain points. My branding process is NOT a one size fits all approach because I understand that every business needs something different. That’s why I craft all of our brands from the ground up, digging deep into what sets you apart and making design decisions that are rooted in strategy.

Together, we’ll take a deep dive into your brand strategy and create a plan for how we can bring that strategy to life through design decisions that will support the vision you have for your business and attract your ideal client. During our one-hour brand strategy call, we’ll dig deep into your why statement, mission, vision, brand voice guide, and ideal client survey together and from there, I’ll come up with a solid direction for our branding work.

THIS is what brand strategy can do for you because every single design decision was backed by knowledge of WHO the brand is for, not just how it LOOKS so when your dreamy ideal client stumbles upon your brand it’s absolutely irresistible to them because it was crafted with them in mind.

All of our clients are artists in their own right and we respect the time, talent, grit, sacrifice, and passion they’ve poured into growing their creative businesses and it’s our goal to elevate them even higher. We believe that passion yields purpose. We embrace our unique talents and work with our clients to pursue their passion and make the most of their calling.

EMPOWER OUR CLIENTS

We empower our clients through every step of the design process. We equip our clients with the knowledge and tools to confidently implement their brand well after our work together is completed.

Throughout the entire design process, we educate our clients on why design decisions are being made so they know the why behind the strategic design. I’ve heard from so many business owners that have a completely custom coded website that they have no idea how to make simple updates like swap and image or some text. There is so much value in custom design but it’s essential that when our clients are off-boarded they know how to upkeep their site and implement their brand the way it was designed to be used. That’s why we provide complimentary training videos and an implementation call where questions can be asked. We walk all of our clients through the style guide and their website so they know where to use each color and how to put the brand in action.
