This past Thursday I hosted an art and summer art and style preview with blogger and friend, Shaynah Dodge (better known as Ruffledsnob) at Free People Mall of America. This was a very proud moment for me for a few reasons. It is always a great moment to see something come together after weeks of planning no matter what it is. For me, this represented the confidence that I have started to possess as an artist. The event concept was my idea and I walked into Free People Mall of America months ago and introduced myself to one of their managers. This is something I would have never dreamed of doing when I first started sketching and I’m very proud of myself for doing that. It was such a dream to see my art all around Free People which just happens to be my favorite brand. Shaynah was so great to have as a partner in crime at this event. She has such a creative eye, is detail oriented and the most stylish human ever. She deserves a special thank you for helping me set up and having a vision for this event through all of the planning. Thank you so much to everyone who came to the event to support me as well. It was so fun for me to be able to meet some new people and have my closest friends there to celebrate this achievement with me.
