Since I was out of town for the long 4th of July weekend, it was a huge weekend for my sketchbook. I am starting to really have a love affair with my mini sketch book. It is the perfect size to travel with and it is just so cute. The first sketch was done in less than 10 minutes which is why it is a different style than I typically draw, but I think it’s really important to experiment with different mediums and styles to see what works best. The second sketch is of my favorite perfume bottle and I just realized I spelled Couture wrong on the bottle…whoops!

The final sketch was a quick one I did in another style yet. I like the rough feeling of it. I was mostly scribbling and when scribbling turns out like that it pleases me very much. And of course you can never have too many donuts. We sampled a dozen donuts on the north shore and they truly were some of the best I’ve ever had, which says a lot because I eat them weekly!
